Here’s a great food item for your next patriotic holiday celebration. Made with both sweet and savory elements, this charcuterie board is perfect for celebrating Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Veteran’s Day, or any summer get together with friends.
Customize the size of your board in proportion to the number of guests you’re serving or make 2 smaller ones to place in different locations for easy access. The board pictured is about 12 inches in diameter and is a great size for 2-4 people.
Ingredients for a Red White and Blue Charcuterie Board
How to Make a Red White and Blue Charcuterie Board
Start by preparing the strawberries. Wash strawberries and pat them dry. Dip into melted white chocolate (leaving about 1/3 of the strawberry exposed), then dip into blue sprinkles (leaving about half of the white chocolate exposed). Lay on parchment paper and allow to harden.
Prepare the watermelon by cutting some star shapes from slices of watermelon.
Arrange the strawberries in a half circle shape around the right side of he charcuterie board.
On the left side of the charcuterie board, lay white crackers, white cheese, and red salami or summer sausage alternating and repeating the pattern until you’ve outlined a little over half of your board.
Next place a handful of the white chocolate pretzels, Twizzlers Bites, and blueberries inside the circle of crackers and strawberries. Leave some space in the center.
Fill in the center space with the star shaped watermelon pieces.
Admire, serve, and enjoy!
