Jimmy Buffett Pasta Salad Inspired by Margaritaville
Jimmy Buffett Pasta Salad is a cheeseburger-inspired pasta salad made with ground beef, cheddar cheese, pickles, tomatoes, pasta, and a creamy Heinz 57 dressing. It can be served warm or cold and is topped with lettuce, bacon, and crispy potato sticks for the ultimate cheeseburger flavor.
Jimmy Buffett Pasta Salad
If a cheeseburger and a pasta salad had a summer vacation together, this would be the result.
Jimmy Buffett Pasta Salad is packed with all the flavors of a great cheeseburger. Ground beef, cheddar cheese, pickles, tomatoes, and a creamy dressing come together in one bowl for a recipe that is hearty enough for dinner but also perfect for potlucks and cookouts.
My version is inspired by the lyrics from Jimmy Buffett’s biggest hit, Margaritaville, released in 1977 (one of my favorite entertainers of all time!) While researching this recipe, I found that many versions seemed to be missing a couple of important ingredients. Heinz 57 absolutely belongs in the dressing, and crispy potato sticks are my nod to the “french fried potatoes” mentioned in the song. They also add the perfect salty crunch.
The best part? You can serve this pasta salad warm or cold, making it a great option any time of year.
