Making your own Grimace Birthday Blueberry Shake brings the essence of Grimace’s iconic color and flavor right to your kitchen. To make your milkshake extra special…

Before you start making this purple milkshake, there are a few things I recommend to make this over-the-top birthday celebration-ready.

Cake Batter Flavoring

Nothing screams birthday like birthday cake flavoring. If you can’t find this in your grocery store, it’s available on Amazon.

Rainbow Sprinkles

You can’t celebrate a birthday without rainbow sprinkles. You’ll use these on everything from cookies to cupcakes to milkshakes!

Authentic Milkshake Glasses

If you make a lot of milkshakes or plan to serve these at a party or to guests, a nice set of milkshake glasses make a fun presentation.

Ingredients for Grimace’s Birthday Blueberry Milkshake

Enjoy the Grimace shake trend all summer long that tastes just like the real thing. You’ll need the following ingredients:

  • Vanilla ice cream
  • Whole milk
  • Frozen blueberries
  • Birthday Cake flavoring
  • Purple food coloring (for that vibrant purple hue)
  • Whipped cream
  • Rainbow sprinkles

How to make the Blueberry Grimace Milkshake

This simple recipe captures the essence of Grimace’s favorite things in a delightful purple milkshake. While it may not be a limited edition item like the one that took social media platforms by storm, it’s a fun and easy way to join in on the TikTok trend and indulge in the taste of summertime berry flavors. Here’s how to make your own Grimace shake:

  1. Let the vanilla ice cream sit out for 10-15 minutes to soften.
  2. In a blender, combine 3 scoops of vanilla ice cream, a splash of whole milk, a handful of frozen blueberries, and a dash of birthday cake flavoring.
  3. Blend until smooth and creamy. For that signature Grimace hue, consider adding a few drops of purple food coloring.
  4. Pour the shake into glasses and top with a generous dollop of whipped cream.
  5. Sprinkle rainbow sprinkles over the whipped cream for that extra festive touch.
  6. Raise a glass in honor of Grimace and enjoy your homemade Grimace Birthday Blueberry Shake!

The frozen blueberries make this Grimace Birthday Blueberry Milkshake perfect for a summer treat even if there isn’t a birthday to celebrate! I’d still recommend adding the sprinkles, though. You can never have too many sprinkles!

Variations to the McDonald’s Grimace Shake Recipe

  • For a lighter version of this shake, opt for sugar-free ice cream, skim milk, and low-calorie whipped topping.
  • To increase the berry flavor, add additional frozen fruit or fresh raspberries to the blender.
  • Double the recipe to make a batch of 4 milkshakes at a time and share the Grimace shake love with friends and family.
  • Try an alternate colorful topping such as Fruity Pebbles cereal.
  • Make these milkshakes for Halloween using green and black sprinkles instead of rainbow ones.
  • Make a vegan grimace shake by using coconut milk or almond milk.

So whether you’re celebrating Grimace’s birthday or simply craving a refreshing purple milkshake, this homemade creation is sure to hit the spot. Cheers to Grimace, the embodiment of a milkshake, and to enjoying the best part of summertime in every sip!
