Cool Whip Candy (Easy No-Bake Easter Candy Recipe)
This easy Cool Whip Candy is a no-bake Easter treat made with whipped topping and candy melts, swirled in pastel colors and dipped in white almond bark. Freezer-friendly and perfect for parties!
Cool Whip Candy
If you need a fun, colorful, no-bake treat that looks impressive but is secretly easy, this Cool Whip Candy is it.
It is light and fluffy on the inside, coated in a smooth white chocolate shell, and decorated with pastel sprinkles. It tastes a little like mousse meets fudge meets candy bar. The texture reminds me of a 3 Musketeers bar. And yes, it disappears fast.
This is one of those freezer desserts that feels almost too simple to work. But it absolutely does. It is perfect for Easter dessert trays, spring parties, or just because you want something sweet in the freezer.
What Is Cool Whip Candy?
Cool Whip Candy is a frozen treat made by mixing whipped topping with melted candy melts, freezing the mixture, cutting it into squares, and dipping the squares into almond bark.
The center stays light and creamy. The outside firms up into a sweet white chocolate shell. The contrast is what makes this treat so good.
For this version, we swirl pink, yellow, and green together for a soft pastel look that is perfect for Easter.
Why You’ll Love Cool Whip Candy
Ingredients for No-Bake Cool Whip Candy
12 ounces whipped topping, thawed: This creates the fluffy, creamy center. It gives the candy its light texture.
12 ounces pink candy melts: Adds sweetness and color. Also helps structure the candy once frozen.
12 ounces yellow candy melts: Provides color and flavor balance.
12 ounces green candy melts: Adds contrast and gives the swirled pastel look.
1 pound white almond bark: Creates the smooth outer coating that hardens and seals everything in.
Easter sprinkles, optional: Adds festive flair and texture.
How to Make Cool Whip Candy
Step 1: Melt the Candy Melts
In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the pink candy melts in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth.
Set aside to cool slightly.
Repeat with the yellow and green candy melts in separate bowls.
Step 2: Mix with Whipped Topping
Line an 8×8 dish with parchment paper.
Add 4 ounces of whipped topping to each bowl of melted candy.
Stir gently until fully combined.
Step 3: Swirl and Freeze
Work quickly. The mixture will start to thicken fast.
Spoon dollops of each color into the prepared pan.
Use a knife to swirl the colors together.
Smooth the top.
Place in the freezer for at least 2 hours, or up to overnight.
Step 4: Dip in Almond Bark
Melt the white almond bark in 30-second increments in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring until smooth.
Remove the candy from the freezer and cut into 20 to 24 equal pieces.
Using two forks, dip each piece into the melted almond bark.
Place onto a parchment-lined tray.
Immediately sprinkle with sprinkles before the coating sets.
Repeat with remaining pieces.
Place in the refrigerator for about 10 minutes to fully set.
Serve and enjoy.

Tips for the Best Easter Cool Whip Candy
- Let the melted candy cool slightly before adding whipped topping.
- Work quickly once mixed. It thickens fast.
- Use parchment paper for easy removal.
- For clean cuts, warm your knife under hot water and dry before slicing.
Recipe Variations
This recipe is easy to customize.
Layer instead of swirl for a striped look.
Add crushed Easter candies on top.
Dip set candies in a second layer of almond bark or melted chocolate for a thicker shell.
Change the colors for Christmas, Halloween, or Fourth of July.
Add a drop of peppermint or lemon extract for flavor variation.
If you can’t find candy melts, use white chocolate chips and food coloring.
How to Store Cool Whip Candy
- Storage: This candy needs to stay cold. Store it in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 1 month. You can also store it in the refrigerator for up to 7 days, but it is best served slightly frozen for the best texture.
- Serving: If you are serving at a party, take it out just before guests arrive.
Can You Make This Ahead of Time?
Absolutely. This is one of my favorite make-ahead treats.
Make it several days in advance and keep it in the freezer until ready to serve. It is perfect for Easter brunch or a spring dessert table.
Troubleshooting
Candy too soft?
It likely needs more freezer time.
Chocolate cracking when dipping?
The centers may be too frozen or the coating too hot. Let the almond bark cool slightly before dipping.
Grainy texture?
The candy melts may have overheated. Always melt in short intervals.
