Need a special way to give a coffee shop gift card? Your friends, coworkers and teachers will love this Starbucks inspired coffee gift card holder!

Gift cards are the go-to, easy gift for just about any occasion, and Starbucks gift cards are a favorite of mine. So, when my daughter wanted to give one to all of her teachers I had to come up with some cute coffee gift card holder she would be proud to present.

After searching all over Pinterest and not finding exactly what we wanted, I ended up designing our own. We gave out lots of these to teachers, neighbors, coworkers, and friends. Everyone loved them!

Cardstock for printing the tags
Scissors or a paper cutter
Ribbon or string
Hole punch
Clear cups with domed lids
Green straws
Candy or other filler

Tip: Add your name!

You can use the “fill and sign” feature of Adobe Acrobat Reader to add your name at the bottom before printing, or you can sign them by hand. Either way, make sure to add your name so the recipient will remember who gave them this wonderful gift.

Cut them out with scissors or a paper cutter. Leave a little bit of the white border around the tag when you cut it out. If your only making a few scissors will work fine. However, if you’re planning to make a lot of these a paper cutter will save time and make neat, straight cuts.
Punch a hole in the top center of the tag and tie a ribbon or string through the hole.

Fill the cup about half way with candy or other filler. I like to use candy because it becomes another delicious part of the gift. Choose the recipient’s favorite candy or something Christmas-y. Hershey Kisses work great because they are small and come in great Christmas themed wrappers.

Place the gift card on top of the candy. Then place the lid on the cup.

Insert the straw and hang the gift tag on it.
