Make Your Own Brown Bag Microwave Popcorn
Without a doubt, microwave popcorn is one of the most convenient snack foods. And while popcorn has a reputation for being a healthy snack, you might want to check that label again. What kind of oil is used? Are there added preservatives? Does it contain allergens?
Why bother making your own popcorn? Well, here are some reasons to consider. It takes up less space in the pantry. You are in control of the portion size and added flavor. It’s also a great alternative for people with allergies. You pop it, you know what’s in there. And it can be just as quick and easy as the prepackaged brands.

This is the go-to method in our house, although I’ve never tried popping it in butter directly (I tend to go for olive oil or whatever other oil I have in the house). The flavor is *so* much better than that awful pre-packaged stuff that it’s been years since I’ve done anything else. I’ll never go back.
