Jimmy Buffett Pasta Salad combines all the flavors of a classic cheeseburger in one hearty pasta salad. Made with seasoned ground beef, cheddar cheese, pickles, tomatoes, and a creamy Heinz 57 dressing, this fun recipe is inspired by the lyrics of Margaritaville. Top it with crispy bacon, shredded lettuce, and crunchy potato sticks for the ultimate cheeseburger pasta salad that's perfect for potlucks, cookouts, and easy family meals. Serve it warm or cold!
1tspMontreal Steak Seasoningor your favorite burger seasoning
1lbrotini or bowtie pasta
½cupcherry tomatoeshalved
¼cupred oniondiced
1cupcheddar cheesecubed
½cuppicklesdiced
salt and black pepperto taste
Dressing
½cupmayonnaise
¼cupketchup
¼cupHeinz 57
Garnishes
1cupshredded lettucefor garnish
5slicesbaconcooked and chopped for garnish
1cuppotato sticksfor garnish
Instructions
Cook the rotini pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain and rinse under cool water. Set aside.
In a large skillet, cook the ground beef and diced yellow onion until the beef is browned. Drain any excess grease. Season with Montreal Steak Seasoning and add some Heinz 57 to taste. Set aside and allow the beef mixture to cool.
In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, ketchup, and Heinz 57 until smooth.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked pasta, cooled ground beef mixture, cherry tomatoes, red onion, cheddar cheese cubes, and pickles.
Pour the dressing over the pasta salad and toss gently until everything is evenly coated.
Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to serve.
Just before serving, top with shredded lettuce, bacon, and potato sticks.
