This simple baked feta pasta can be cooked and served in the same dish. Perfect for even a beginner cook!

I came across a video of this Simple Baked Feta Pasta while scrolling through Tik Tok. Maybe you’ve seen it, too. It looked so unbelievably easy, that I had to give it a try. I’m happy to report that it IS as simple as it looked! Just in case you can’t find the recipe, I made my own version.

Ingredients for Simple Baked Feta Pasta

  • Cherry Tomatoes
  • Shallot
  • Garlic
  • Olive Oil
  • Sea Salt
  • Red Pepper Flakes
  • Thyme
  • Feta Cheese Block
  • Elbow Pasta
  • Parsley or Basil

How to Make Simple Baked Feta Pasta

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  • Spray 9×9 baking dish (or a 3 qt baking dish) with non stick cooking spray.
  • Place washed cherry tomatoes in baking dish.
  • Add diced shallot, garlic, olive oil, salt, red pepper flakes, and thyme. Toss until combined.
  • Place feta block in the middle of the baking dish on top of the tomatoes.
  • Bake for 35 minutes until the feta is melted and tomatoes burst.
  • While the tomatoes and feta are baking, cook pasta in salted water according to package directions until al dente. Then drain and set aside.
  • Remove tomatoes and feta from the oven and stir until combined well. Be careful, the dish is hot!
  • Add cooked pasta, and stir to combine.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley.

Tips & Tricks

  • Add some protein by using up leftover chicken or rotisserie chicken to this dish.
  • Change up the taste by using different herbs such as thyme, basil, oregano, or chives.
  • Keto-friendly or Gluten-free: Use spaghetti squash or Palmini “noodles” to make a low-carb version of this recipe.
  • Use different kinds of cheese for all new flavors such as goat cheese, Halloumi, Ricotta, or Queso Fresco.
  • You can use all kinds of pasta to make this Simple Baked Feta Pasta. I used elbow pasta, but you could also use penne, macaroni, orecchiette, Cavatappi, or any other short pasta.
  • Sneak in some extra veggies by stirring in some spinach leaves, roasted red peppers, canned artichokes or mushrooms.
  • Garnish with freshly grated parmesan cheese and fresh parsley or basil.
