Welcome to our Christmas Home Tour of 2024! Walk with me through our kitchen, living room, keeping room, and dining room as I share this years Christmas decor.

2024 Christmas Home Tour - Keeping Room Brown Green Gold

Every Christmas season, I love revisiting cherished decorations from years past, giving them a fresh spin to keep our holiday decor feeling current and exciting. This year, I started planning early, dreaming up a new color scheme while last year’s ornaments still sparkled on the tree. Join me as I take you on a tour of our home, decked out for the holidays!

Green Brown and Gold Keeping Room

The Keeping Room is my favorite room in our house! When I start dreaming about my holiday decor, this is the room I start with. I knew I wanted a totally new color scheme this year and decided on Green, Brown, and Gold with wood accents. I wanted it to have a slightly rustic feel, but not overly rustic.

The Wreath Focal Point

Wreath - Seasonal LLC

I had the pleasure of incorporating the stunning Dandan Pine 24-inch Wreath into my holiday decor this year, courtesy of Seasonal LLC. From the moment I unboxed it, I knew it would be the centerpiece of this room.

The wreath features incredibly realistic pine branches in varying sizes, densely packed to create a full and lush look. Its unique shape, reminiscent of a snowflake, adds a whimsical touch that’s both elegant and festive. The branches are flexible, allowing you to easily bend and shape them to your liking.

What truly sets this wreath apart are the 150 warm white LED lights. They provide a soft, inviting glow that makes this piece a true showstopper.

To make it my own, I added a simple brown and gold bow and tucked in some pine cones—no glue required! The wreath’s design makes it easy to customize while still maintaining its beauty and durability.

If you’re searching for a high-quality, realistic wreath that you can enjoy for years to come, the Dandan Pine is an excellent choice.

Keeping Room Fireplace

Here’s the stunning wreath over my fireplace. So pretty! The mantle is dressed with a variety of trees in green and wood tones and simple wooden houses. A strand of jingle bell garland dangles below.

Even though we don’t use the fireplace in this room, I keep real wood in it all year long. During the holidays it gets dressed up with a strand of battery operated fairy lights on a timer. They come on every evening creating a magical ambiance in the room.

I kept the hearth super simple with a large gold deer and a green wooden tree on a little stool.

And of course, the color scheme is repeated on the chairs. Green pillow covers with gold trim are on the larger pillows, and the smaller pillows have a brown chenille cover with pom-poms that repeat the shape of the ornaments on the trees.

Brown and Green Christmas Trees

The fireplace is flanked on both sides with 4 foot table-top Christmas trees. I used the same brown and gold wired ribbon for garland along with some wooden beads. Velvet ornaments in green and shades of brown, gold glitter reindeer, pinecones, and large brown jingle bells complete the trees.

Keeping Room Coffee Table

Several elements from the room are repeated in the coffee table centerpiece including green in the Wood Wick candle, pinecones in the bowl, a gold reindeer, and a wooden tree on a candlestick with a small boxwood wreath at the base.

Here are a few more pictures of the Keeping Room from different angles and in different light.

Christmas Living Room: Blue, Brown, Aqua, Gold, Ivory

Living Room Christmas - Blue Brown Gold Ivory

Last year in the living room I mostly used Blue and Brown. This year I added a little aqua to the mix, and I’m loving it!

Living Room Christmas Tree

I have always loved bows, and this tree is full of them! I used 6 inch wired ribbon to make the ivory bows, 1 1/2 inch ribbon for the brown and aqua bows, and 1-inch white velvet ribbon for the smaller bows with gold trim. Gold bead garland peeks out here and there along with gold berry picks and blueberry picks. The ornaments are navy blue, aqua, ivory, brown, and gold with a variety of textures including glitter, textured, matte, and shiny. I love how this came together! Here are some closer images of the tree so you can see the details.

Living Room Christmas Mantle

I always put up the garland on the mantle and decorate it at the same time as the tree. I used the same gold bead garland and aqua ribbon from the tree. I also added a few ornaments. When we aren’t using the living room I like to display a “tv picture frame” video from YouTube. No need to buy one of those framed televisions when you can get it for free! 🙂

Here is the living room mantle during the day and at night.

And here are some closer detail shots.

Gold and Ivory Christmas Dining Room

Christmas Dining Room

As our family gathers around the dining room table more often during the holiday season, we prefer a minimalist approach to our dining room decor. This way, the focus remains on the warmth and joy of the season, rather than a cluttered space.

This year the dining room Christmas decor is gold, ivory, and green.

Dining Room Christmas Tree

Pencil Christmas trees are perfect in tight places. This 7.5 ft pencil tree doesn’t intrude on the space and provides the perfect shimmer for the room.

The dining room tree has clear-beaded garland, gold ribbon garland, and assorted ornaments in white, gold, and clear ones with an iridescent glow. I also snuck in some gold jingle bells.

Here’s a closer look at the tree decorations in gold, white, and clear.

Dining Room Buffet

Since our family enjoys playing boardgames together, the buffet usually gets stacked with puzzles, cards, and games. Here’s what it looks like before everyone arrives, though.

The China Cabinet

Dining Room China Cabinet

The china cabinet doors are adorned with boxwood wreaths and ivory ribbon with gold trim. On top are ceramic houses, trees, and some blue and white vases. For the holiday season, I cut pine branches from our trees and bring them in as decor in my vases. You’ve got to love free decor!

Christmas Kitchen in Brown and Gold

I have reused these mini wreaths for several years, but I always change the ribbon and ornament. Since our kitchen is open to the Keeping Room, I used some of the same colors.

Hot Chocolate Bar and Coffee Stations

The Nespresso coffee station gets dressed up for Christmas with a ceramic house, trees, and some Christmas tree mugs. The deer mug is my daughter’s favorite.

As soon as the weather cools off, I set up a hot chocolate station. This is a popular stop for our kids and guests! This year I have caramel syrup, white chocolate syrup, chocolate syrup, dehydrated micro marshmallows, peppermint pieces, and mini marshmallows.

Brown and Gold Christmas Kitchen

Just like the dining room, I don’t like to put up too many things in the kitchen. Don’t overdo the decor in busy areas of your house.

Kitchen Christmas Tree

Of course, the kitchen gets a tree, too! Another pencil tree is perfect for this space. It’s decorated with green ornaments in different textures, gold jingle bells, and two kinds of brown ribbon.

Thanks for joining me on this year’s Christmas home tour! I hope you’ve found inspiration for your own holiday decor. If you’ve tried any of these ideas, please share a photo or tag me on social media. I’d love to see how you’ve brought the holiday spirit into your own home.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
