This easy 1905 Salad Recipe is a copycat version of the famous Columbia Restaurant favorite. Crisp iceberg lettuce is tossed with ham, Swiss cheese, green Spanish olives, juicy tomatoes, and a bold garlic vinaigrette, then finished with grated Romano cheese. 1headiceberg lettucewashed, dried, and cut into bite-sized pieces
1cupSwiss cheesecut into julienne strips
1cupcooked hamcut into julienne strips
½cupSpanish oliveswhole or halved (your preference)

Dressing Ingredients
2tbspWorcestershire sauce
2tsplemon juice
2tbspwhite wine vinegar
½cupolive oilhigh quality
4clovesfresh garlicminced
1tspdried oregano
salt and black pepperto taste
Instructions
Chop lettuce into bite-sized pieces. Use a salad spinner to wash well and spin dry.
Add the minced garlic, oregano, and Worcestershire sauce to a large salad bowl. Whisk until combined. Slowly drizzle in the olive oil while whisking continuously to emulsify the dressing. Add the lemon juice, white wine vinegar, salt, and pepper. Whisk until smooth.
Add the lettuce to a large serving bowl. Top with Swiss cheese, ham, olives, tomatoes, and red onion.
Pour the dressing over the salad just before serving. Toss until evenly coated. Sprinkle grated Romano cheese over the top. Serve immediately.
