Crockpot Lemon Garlic Chicken: A Family Favorite with Big Flavor

This Crockpot Lemon Garlic Chicken is tender, juicy, and full of bright, buttery flavor. Made with boneless skinless chicken breasts, fresh lemon juice, garlic cloves, and pantry spices, it’s the perfect easy slow cooker meal for busy weeknights.
3largeboneless skinless chicken breastssliced in half
1tspItalian seasoning
1tsponion powder
1tspgarlic powder
½tsppaprika
½tspblack pepper
½cupchicken stockor chicken broth
½tsp Better Than Bouillon Chicken Flavoror any chicken bouillon
½cuplemon juicefreshly squeezed
8clovesgarlicpeeled
4tbspbuttercut into pats
½tspred pepper flakesoptional for heat
lemon slices
fresh parsleychopped for garnish
Instructions
In a small bowl, combine the Italian seasoning, onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, and black pepper. Use this mix to season both sides of the chicken breasts.
Place chicken into your crockpot.
In a separate small bowl, whisk together the chicken stock and Better Than Bouillon, then pour it into the slow cooker, being careful not to rinse the seasonings off the chicken.
Add lemon juice, garlic cloves, and top the chicken with pats of butter and lemon slices. Sprinkle chicken with crushed red pepper flakes if using.
Cover and cook on HIGH heat for 3-4 hours or LOW heat for 6-8 hours. Chicken should reach an internal temperature of 165°F.
Serve over your favorite pasta, brown rice, cauliflower rice, or with green beans. Spoon that buttery sauce over everything!

Variations to Try
Make it creamy: Stir in 1/2 cup of heavy cream or 4 oz of cream cheese during the last 15 minutes of cooking.
Make it with thighs: Swap breast meat for boneless, skinless chicken thighs for even juicier results.
Add veggies: Place green beans or baby potatoes in the bottom of the crockpot before adding the chicken.
