Christmas Crescent Roll Wreath with Creamy Spinach Filling
Melisha Kreppein
This Crescent Roll Wreath is a festive holiday appetizer made with flaky crescent rolls wrapped around a creamy spinach, parmesan, and red pepper filling. It bakes into a golden, pull-apart wreath that’s perfect for Christmas gatherings, holiday parties, or easy entertaining. Decorate with cherry tomatoes, herbs, and a bell pepper bow for a charming Christmas touch.
Preheat your oven to 375 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Prep the bell pepper. Slice off the top to make a bow shape and set it aside. Finely dice the rest of the pepper.
Make the filling. In a medium bowl, mix together the diced pepper, cream cheese, chopped spinach, garlic, 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning, onion powder, parmesan, salt, and pepper until smooth and well combined.
Form the wreath base. Place a small bowl upside down in the center of your baking sheet. Open the crescent roll packages and separate the triangles. Arrange them around the bowl with the pointed ends facing outward, overlapping slightly to form a ring.
Add the filling. Spoon the spinach mixture evenly around the dough ring.
Fold the dough. Pull the pointed ends of the triangles up and over the filling, pressing them gently to secure.
Brush and season. Remove the center bowl. Brush the top of the wreath with melted butter and sprinkle with the remaining 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning.
Bake. Bake for 22 to 25 minutes, or until the crescent rolls are golden brown.
Decorate and serve. Finish with cherry tomatoes, fresh herbs, and the bell pepper bow for a festive touch.
