Christmas is my absolute favorite time of the year!
I am that neighbor who puts her decorations up the week BEFORE Thanksgiving.
{One year I even put them up 2 weeks before Thanksgiving.}

{Current playing time is 17 hours and 15 minutes of Christmas songs!}
I am that lady who says “Merry Christmas” when everyone else is wishing you “Happy Holidays.”
I love the lights, the songs, the cooking, the parties, and most of all I love celebrating the birth of Jesus!
But…there is one thing about Christmas that is not my favorite. Are you ready for my confession? OK, this may be shocking to some of you, but I really don’t care for the color red.
It’s true. I never have liked red.
For many years I avoided red Christmas decor by substituting a nice shade of burgundy. It still wasn’t my favorite, but I could live with burgundy over the glaring bright red.
In 2014 when we moved into a new house, I took that opportunity to go through my Christmas decorations. I donated several lovely red and burgundy Christmas decor items I had collected (or been gifted) over the years. Christmas of 2014 would be my first totally non-red Christmas. I was excited!
I chose a Christmas color palette of gold, silver, white and shades of light blue.
{So pretty!}
If you’re a regular reader of Finding Time To Fly, you know that I enjoy decorating with printable subway art and inspirational quotes. But I had a difficult time finding artwork for Christmas that contained blue or the shades of blue I needed. So, I created a few of my own.
