Simple Berry Trifle

Here's a simple, no bake dessert perfect for the 4th of July, Memorial Day or any summer gathering.

Serves: 8 servings
  • Angel Food Cake, prepared
  • 2 8 oz containers of Cool Whip
  • 1 cup Blueberries, washed
  • 2 cups Strawberries, washed and sliced
  1. Set aside some of the fruit pieces to garnish the top of the finished trifle.
  2. Cut the cake into small slices or cubes.
  3. Place a layer of cake in the bottom of the trifle bowl.
  4. Next, arrange some of the fruit around the perimeter placing them against the sides of the trifle bowl so they will be visible when the Cool Whip is added.
  5. Add a layer of fruit to cover the cake.
  6. Add one container of Cool Whip and spread evenly being careful not to bury the fruit on the sides of the bowl.
  7. Repeat the process of adding a layer of cake and fruit.
  8. Top with the other container of Cool Whip.
  9. Finish by arranging a few pieces of fruit on top.
  10. Cover lightly and place in refrigerator until ready to serve.
  11. Can be stored in refrigerator up to 24 hours prior to serving.
