Cinnamon Roll French Toast Breakfast Casserole
You have guests staying at your home. You’ve got activities and dinners planned, but the one area you are struggling with is breakfast. You want to offer your guests a freshly made hot breakfast, but mornings are hectic. People are waking up at different times, and you don’t want to be stuck in the kitchen like a short order cook. What can you serve?
Cinnamon Roll French Toast Breakfast Casserole is a one dish wonder. It can be prepared the evening before and stored in the refrigerator overnight. Or you can prepare it quickly in the morning with plenty of time to clean up and make coffee while it’s baking. It is hearty, filling, delicious and simple to make.
Cinnamon Roll French Toast Breakfast Casserole
Ingredients
1 can Refrigerated Cinnamon Rolls
2 Tbs Butter, melted
3 Eggs
1/4 cup Heavy Cream
1 tsp Ground Cinnamon
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
1/4 cup Maple Syrup
1/4 cup Pecans (optional)
Preheat oven to 375. Pour melted butter into a 9×13 baking dish. Open and separate cinnamon rolls, and set the icing aside for later. Use kitchen scissors or a knife to cut each roll into 8 pieces. Place in buttered dish.
Beat eggs, add cream, cinnamon, and vanilla. Mix until well blended then pour over rolls.
Drizzle with syrup and sprinkle with pecans (nuts are optional). Bake 20-24 minutes or until golden brown. Allow to cool.
Transfer icing to zippered sandwich bag. Clip corner of bag and drizzle icing over top. Lightly sprinkle with powdered sugar.
This recipe serves 6 people but can be doubled or tripled to serve many more.

Hi! I was wondering if you could add apples to this recipe ? I don’t have the apple pie filling but I have apples to use?

I think apples would be a great addition to this recipe! However, I don’t think they would cook completely if you added them in without cooking them first. I would recommend dicing up the apple and cooking it a little in a frying pan or in the microwave a couple of minutes to soften it a bit.
